The Story
The children’s book Would you rather... by English author and illustrator John Burningham was first published in 1979. Christoph Elias Meier and Mara Züst took Burningham's incantation one step further and adapted the book’s meaning so that it asks about the essence of things (graffiti on a building, a furrow of a brow). Now these things, often forgotten about, but nevertheless populating our world, can be grasped by pondering wonderful and ample questions. This creates a game of foolish ventures, mental leaps and revocable choices, accompanied by fascinating illustrations made out of sand by Carolina Cerbaro.
