The Story

London-based graphic designer James Jarvis's latest publication Spheric Dialogues comprises a series of 356 illustrated drawings made in 2012. The circular characters in the book are placed within a number of amusing situations in which they reference Hegelianand Descartian philosophies and pop-culture (Peanutsand Conan the Barbarian among others). Consistent with the artist's practice at large, which frequently incorporates drawing, philosophy, alternate realities and skateboarding, this book provides a comical entry to complex philosophical concerns about art, being, knowledge and logic. Thanks to Nieves (Zurich).

380 pages, 11.2 x 17.8 cm, paperback, Nieves (Zurich).
