The Story
Six for Gold was photographed between 2008 and 2017. Comprising nearly a decade of Jake Mein's photographic output, Six for Gold is a visual poem, wandering from anonymous cityscapes to intimate portraits of people caught in-between moments of action. Mein uses the camera as a way to destabilise familiar scenes and to explore notions of home or belonging in an increasingly transitory world.
