Erik Van Der Weijde - Nina

'Nina' contains photographs of a sleeping dog. Sleeping figures have been present in several of Van der Weijde’s publications in the past and it is, as he states, ‘an unconventional but pure and intimate form of portraiture, where the viewer becomes more of voyeur.’ The intimacy of this title is in sharp contrast with Van der Weijde’s other new book ‘Toyota’, with images of architecture, devoid of any (human) life.
