The Story

The co-creative directors of the German fashion house Jil Sander were tasked with curating this issue. Lucie and Luke Meier approached their assignment as a call for reflection and an open dialogue on the dualities of a theme that is present in all of their work: human nature/mother nature. In this juxtaposition of the natural world with the constructs of built architecture and our cultural phenomena from recent history, a basis is formed for the exploration of scales, geographies, and an abundance of personal contributions from the Meiers. Photography, painting and illustration, interviews, music, poetry, and more all culminate in a carefully considered whirlwind of impressions.

242 pages, 23 x 30 cm, softcover, A Magazine (Antwerp).
